- Rest and Repair Day -

I love my Sunday routine. It de-stresses me in time for the usual Monday onslaught! I start by applying a nourishing hair mask from the roots to the end of my hair, twist it into a topknot and let it marinade while I sip on green tea and read some Sunday literature.

I then take a long soak, moisturise from head to toe (Nuxe Dry Oil is my weapon of choice lately - love the quick dry time and amazing scent) slip into some silk pyjamas (there's nothing like wearing matching pyjamas!) and paint my nails. I also like to use an essential oil roller ball throughout the evening too, on pulse points and even to just inhale.

Happy Sunday! xo

Love is Life

I kinda love Valentine's Day, even though it more often that not turns out to be the most UN-romantic day! It marks a point in the year when you tell the person you love that you adore them and that they make your heart happy, so that can't be bad!

However, too much thought, planning and anticipation can actually, in my experience, completely rob the occasion of any romance whatsoever. The thought of going out for dinner and being surrounded by other couples competing for who can seem more in love is totally off-putting!

For me, this year the day signals an occasion on which to indulge, pamper, spoil, luxuriate - and lets face it we all need a bit of this after a long, dark January.

So, because I'm not spending it with the Boy, and because it wonderfully falls on a Friday(:)) I'm going to use it as an excuse for a much needed night-in. Long soak, pamper, sweet treats and wine in front of the fire <3 perfect.

Ode to Dior

I hadn't noticed how many Dior products I owned until recently, but they actually rank among some of my all time favourites.

Dior Creme de Rose - I've had this for ages as I ration it so I don't have to keep re-buying it! Its just so unique for a lip balm, and I have never used anything quite like it before. It adds a sort of glimmer to the lips that is in no way sticky but still looks like you have a really subtle gloss on your lips. It smells amazing and lasts pretty well throughout the day, plus the little white pot is too cute!

Dior Lip Glow - I love the fact that this is in tube form so its more hygienic than creme de rose when on-the-go. The colour actually comes out quite vibrant on me, so I need to be wearing makeup when I wear this or else it just looks odd on a bare canvas and makes me look even more sallow.

Dior Lip Maximiser - This is useful to have in my stash for nights out when I want to maximise m pout. I've tried the Sexy Motherpucker from Soap and Glory and a couple of others, but this one is by far the nicest consistency, and doesn't tingle too much.

J'adore Dior - A grown-up powdery floral scent that isn't too heavy or overpowering. I wear it for special occasions and usually spray it at the back of my neck (under my hair) so that I get subtle wafts of it throughout the day. Swooning over the Body Milk to complete the set!

Dior Hypnotic Poison - I reserve this scent for the depths of winter and particularly love to use it over the festive period. Its so warm and spicy the smallest drops are enough to wrap you in a veil of indulgence and make you want to snuggle up with a cinnamon hot choc by the fire!

Are there any other Christian Dior goodies I have missed out on and need in my life?

Cinq Choses

This week has gone crazily fast, I feel like life is just whizzing past me and I haven't got time to give it so much as a second glance - hopefully things will start to calm down soon! I did manage to see the Wolf of Wall Street though and it was SO SO good!

Here are five snippets of my week <3

A more beautiful bag did never exist <3

I love the idea of just how mini this version of the classic is. Its big enough for the essentials, but suitable for both day and night. I would wear this in the winter with jeans and my black cashmere coat and summer with white jeans or a summery dress. Petit problème - the price! A girl can dream :) xo

Precious Pieces

My Weekend Jewellery Edit - vintage Longines watch, Links of London silver charm bracelet and antique green gem earrings.

I could not be happier that February is finally here. January has had its ups and downs, with pressure from all bases; law school, job applications, relationship woes and constant overeating(!) I'm looking forward to starting this month on a good foot, and hoping that February will bring some good news and happiness.

Currently Loving

I've had this little bottle for a while now, and usually keep it for using on scars and old stretch marks, but I've recently been using this as a nighttime moisturiser. I use just one or two drops and massage it in for a minute or so.

The effects are more or less instantaneous! When I wake up my skin not only feels incredibly soft, but my skin tone is actually more even. - I have redness around my nose and on my chin, and really bad dark circles and honestly, this has made the world of difference -  It really works.

Has anyone else tried this and what did you think? xo
